So Afrojack — who claims now that Paris Hilton is just a friend — says that he wasn’t so sure about working with her after he heard her first album.

So far, we’re with you, Afrojack.

But he also says: “she’s like one of the most talented performers I know. She may not be a Celine Dion, but she knows how to perform on stage. She knows how to sing, believe it or not.”

We’re going to go with “not,” if it’s all the same to you. Hilton’s rep also takes the line that she was doing Manufactured Superstars a favor by recording “Drunk Text.” Oh. Oh, THAT’s who was doing the favor for who. It all makes sense now. We are really looking forward to the next time she’s at XS when Manufactured Superstars are there. Maybe, say, when they’re opening for her DJ set?

X Factor finalist Chris Rene was at Pure last night to show off some truly, truly unfortunate tattoos.

He hit the stage around 1:30 to do “Fame & Fortune,” (?) “Same Blood” and “Young Homie” for a crowd that included the boob-tacular Katie Price. Remind us again why the guy on the karaoke contest show was the star of this particular attraction?

Lily Tomlin, whose next role should be “your mom’s crazy best friend after two glasses of white wine,” was at the Smith Center yesterday to do her one-woman show, The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe. Let’s ignore the fact that it looks like she’s auditioning for the most boring Mummenschanz production ever and instead reflect on our favorite Lily Tomlin moment: That time she ripped David O. Russell a new one and made him go into full-on ragemonkey mode.
